I was referred to Mr Paul Banwell in February 2010 when I was diagnosed with an advanced melanoma in the lymph nodes in my left groin.  At my consultation he explained in layman’s terms my diagnosis and all details regarding the operation I needed.  Mr Banwell operated on 27th February 2010. The operation was a complete success – he has removed all the cancer as subsequent scans have proven.  I then spent seven days recuperating in the McIndoe Surgical Centre in East Grinstead under Mr Banwell’s and his specialised teams care. They were all wonderful. Mr Banwell was at my bedside every morning to check my progress. His kindness and caring knew no bounds. He made all my fears and anxieties groundless and replaced them with optimism for a great feature and my aftercare was first class.  I would recommend this highly professional, dedicated, humane family man to all who need any medical intervention. He is the best. How do you thank a man who gives you your life back? There are no adequate words.

Care given prior to, during and after my operation has been extremely thorough. With specialist available to speak to at my own convenience, all aspects of the operation were readily explored and advice was tailored to fit my individual expectations. A particular benefit of Mr Banwell’s surgery was the flexibility in timing with both appointments as well as the actual operation date. Although the decision to undergo surgery was a difficult choice, Mr Banwell proved honest and realistic about expectations and the final outcome was exactly what I had requested. Although it is a decision not to be taken lightly, I would recommend Mr Banwell to any woman in the correct mind set.

I am so happy with what Mr Banwell has done for me. It is clear that I was very well advised by Mr Banwell which type of implant would be best for me, as the end result I have is amazing and is completely natural. Also the care I received at the hospital was very pleasant, I actually enjoyed my stay there, and the procedure was pain free. From the overall experience I have had I would gladly recommend Mr Banwell to anyone.

From the welcome I got on my first visit to post op consultations, the team were very friendly. Mr Banwell is undoubtedly the most professional and caring surgeon I could wish for. I have felt completely confident in his expertise, and am thrilled with the results. I would not hesitate – and indeed have – recommended him.
